Two Sequart Books in Previews

The Devil is in the Details and Curing the Postmodern Blues are now available to order through your local comic-book shop.

Both books are in the current, May 2013 Previews catalog, for distribution to comic-book stores in August. This is a great way to support your local comic-book store, which may give you a discount if you pre-order and won’t charge you any shipping.

Please be aware that many comic-book stores won’t order these books unless you request them. Not all stores stock books about comics, or know that there’s any demand for them. Pre-ordering is the only way to be sure the store will order these books.

The Devil is in the DetailsThe Devil is in the Details: Examining Matt Murdock and Daredevil (listed on page 379 of the May Previews catalog) examines both Daredevil and his alter ego, Matt Murdock. Edited by Ryan K. Lindsay, it features an impressive list of contributors and a foreword by Ralph Macchio. It’s been mentioned in the letters column of Daredevil and retails for $15.99. Use order code MAY13 1432.

Curing the Postmodern BluesCuring the Postmodern Blues: Reading Grant Morrison and Chris Weston’s The Filth in the 21st Century (listed on page 378 of the May Previews catalog), by Tom Shapira, follows up on Sequart’s other Grant Morrison books and its documentary film, Grant Morrison: Talking with Gods, by analyzing The Filth. It includes interviews with Grant Morrison, Chris Weston, and inker Gary Erskine, plus art from Weston illuminating the design of the series and containing imagery censored in the printed comic. It retails for $12.99. Use order code MAY13 1427.

Sequart Research & Literacy Organization is a non-profit organization that exists to promote comic books as a legitimate form of art. We appreciate immensely that others share this vision and wish to thank you for your amazing and continued support.
