Sequart at C2E2

If you’re going to be at C2E2 in Chicago on Saturday, 19 March, come check out Sequart’s “Year of Ellis” panel.

Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo (C2E2)The panel will be held from 4:30 – 5:30pm in room 475a.

Panelists will include Bleeding Cool‘s Rich Johnston, Julian Darius, Kevin Thurman, and Brett Williams.

The panel will discuss Sequart’s “Year of Ellis” initiative, consisting of three books and a documentary film:

Keeping the World Strange: A Planetary Guide, currently in Previews and available for order through your local comic shop. Edited by Cody Walker, it includes contributions by panelists Darius and Thurman.

Voyage in Noise: Warren Ellis and the Demise of Western Civilization, covering Ellis’s entire body of work, is written by panelist Kevin Thurman.

Shot in the Face: A Savage Journey to the Heart of Transmetropolitan, edited by Chad Nevett, features contributions by Darius, Thurman, and Williams.

Last but not least, the documentary film Warren Ellis: Captured Ghosts, directed by Patrick Meaney, is executive produced by Darius and features interviews with Johnston, who has long been a friend of Warren Ellis.

The panel will feature never-before-seen footage from the movie, due later this year.

Basically, we’ll be discussing everything you ever wanted to know about Warren Ellis. So if you’re a fan, be sure not to miss it!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

In 1996, while still an undergraduate, Dr. Julian Darius founded what would become Sequart Organization. After graduating magna cum laude from Lawrence University (Appleton, Wisconsin), he obtained his M.A. in English, authoring a thesis on John Milton and utopianism. In 2002, he moved to Waikiki, teaching college while obtaining an M.A. in French (high honors) and a Ph.D. in English. In 2011, he founded Martian Lit, which publishes creative work, including his comic book Martian Comics. He currently lives in Illinois.
