2020 Visions is a 12-issue mini-series, published by DC / Vertigo from early 1997 to early 1998. It consisted of four three-issue story arcs, each set within the same future. Taking place in 2020, the these four arcs each provided glimpses of different aspects of this future world, and each arc had its own artist and cover design. Though some stories were better than others, the whole was rather impressive, with many clever and enjoyable touches.
In 2004, 2020 Visions became one of the first Vertigo series to migrate to another publisher, receiving a collected edition — one, unfortunately, that was in black-and-white (whereas the original was in color).
