Two New Interviews with Julian Darius, on Sequart and the Comics Medium

has done two recent interviews about Sequart and the medium of comics.

In an interview with JC Thomas, Julian Darius discusses the medium of comics, whether it can be considered literature, its role in literacy and visual literacy, and its use of archetypes and mythology.

In an interview with Charles Moss, produced for Free Comic Book Day, Julian Darius discusses Sequart, comics-based movies, and which comic-book character he first fell in love with.

Although the interviews are very different in focus and tone, they both speak to the importance of comic books in literature and culture — and to the mission of Sequart Research & Literature Organization, which exists to promote comics as a legitimate form of art.
