“Red Birth”

- after the debut of Superman five years ago, the current avatar of the Red, an African-American Animal Man, is killed by Anton Arcane
- the Red makes stuntman Buddy Baker its temporary avatar (in lieu of his future daughter) and fakes the yellow aliens to do so
- six months after Animal Man’s debut, Ellen tells Buddy she’s pregnant, while Anton Arcane and the Rot wait (helping to set up “Rotworld”)
