Cerebus:

First Fifty Issues

Monsters, wizards, and brazen women.  These early issues of Cerebus focused primarily on the Conan the Barbarian spoof, but as it got into the 20′s, the focus became bigger and politics was soon brought in with the introduction of characters like Lord Julius, the Cockroach, Elrod, and others.
