Warren Girard Ellis (born 16 February 1968) is a critically acclaimed writer of such famous works as Transmetropolitan, Planetary, and The Authority. His works often deal with themes of technology and society, and he has a penchant for mad scientists and protagonists who swear and drink a lot. He lives in Southend-on-Sea, England.
